GENERAL INFORMATION
The coarse screening is the first step which must be considered in a civil or industrial wastewater treatment plant. Its purpose is to intercept and remove large-sized solids that can damage and / or slow down the depurative processes and plant equipment, or obstruct the pipelines. It is particularly important before the pumping stations to protect the electric pumps, or in the surge tank for penstocks (hydroelectric power plant).
This type of screen is particularly suitable for protecting large pumping station and hydroelectric power plants.
Thanks to the screen filter consists of the fixed grid bar, this machine is able to block the suspended solids (larger than the screen spacing), lifting them out of the water flow by means of the grab bucket and convey them in the collection area (box, screw or belt conveyor, etc., depending on the specific needs).
